Gold Bar Homes For Sale | Gold Bar Real Estate

Located on Highway 2, Gold Bar describes itself as the "Gateway to the Cascades".  Indeed the city of Gold Bar is located in the Skykomish River Valley where the mountains begin to really close in so the scenery is fantastic.  Gold Bar was named after prospectors who settled here while searching for gold along the Skykomish River and its tributaries in 1869.   Today the population is around 2,000.  Gold Bar is one of many towns outside of Monroe that travelers pass in route to Stevens Pass and all the activates there.  The homes in Gold Bar are in a tight neighborhood with scattered properties surrounding the main city blocks.  State and Federal lands are close by preventing Gold Bar from ever getting too large.  Just two miles out of town is Wallace Falls State Park so you could say Gold Bar has one of the best parks of any city in Washington.  The park features a spectacular 265-foot waterfall and miles of hiking.
