Seward Park Neighborhood Homes For Sale

The Seward Park neighborhood is bounded on the east and north by Lake Washington, on the south by S Kenyon Street, and on the west by the eastern boundaries of Columbia City.  It is named after the forested Bailey Peninsula park that juts into Lake Washington, also known as Seward Park.  These homes are the most expensive homes you will find in South Seattle.  The average price of a house in the neighborhood is about $500,000.  Of course, the closer you get to the water, the homes for sale get much higher.  The neighborhood joined the City of Seattle in 1907.  If you do acquire some real estate here, you are blessed with easy access to one of Seattle's greatest walking trails, around the 300 acres of natural forest in Seward Park.  Some of the park has old growth forest with trees older than 250 years old.  The bike trail along Lake Washington Boulevard is a wonderful neighborhood trail as well.
