Sultan Homes For Sale | Sultan Real Estate

Sultan has been incorporated since 1905, a community with rich and colorful logging, mining and agriculture heritage.  More recently, with hundreds of new homes built, Sultan is growing rapidly from it's very small town roots.   The population is now around 5,000 residents.  New commercial and retail projects are popping up but the city promises to try to preserve the small town feel that is Sultan.  Sultan was named after local Indian Chief Tseultd but settlers decided to just call him "Sultan John".  He was the leader of the tribe of Indians who lived along the banks of the Skykomish River.  As with many of the small towns along Highway 2, Sultan is very scenic along the Skykomish River with the Cascade Mountains on both sides.  Recreational activities are just minutes away including the Spada Lake Reservoir and Wallace Falls State Park.
