For years Eatonville has been a stop over for visitors heading to Mount Rainier. This town is at the base of beautiful Mount Rainier and has beautiful homes on acreage. One of the main tourist attractions in Eatonville is Northwest Trek where you ride a tram to see wildlife in their natural surroundings. In the early 1900s people lived in Eatonville because of the Eatonville Lumber Mill, but when it closed in 1954 people live here for the good schools and small community of just over 2700 people. A little log cabin was the first home in Eatonville and in 1997 it was preserved and moved to its present location on the corner of Marshall Ave S and Alder St. Next time you head to Mount Rainier, check out the quaint shops order lunch from the Mountain View Café or order a coffee from a local stand.
