In the 1890s a mill was built amidst evergreen trees overlooking the Puyallup Valley and the first housing settlement was known as “Mill Town” and later changed to Milton by the Post Office. The charming picturesque community is fantastic for 6900 residents, many whom commute to larger cities for work but want a small town. A small school district with quality schools also make Milton a great place to call home. In 1971, Milton benefited from a 1.8 million dollar sewer project. Preservation of trails, parks and landscape buffers keeps Milton’s quaint community desirable. Surprise Lake is nearby. Skateboarders can often be seen along Milton Way at the Skatepark, hundreds of children can be seen at Triangle Park for their Annual Easter Egg hunt.
