Issaquah has been the second fastest growing city in Washington for the past 10 years. Only its neighbor Snoqualmie has grown faster. Issaquah is one of the best locations for you if you are into the outdoors. Even if you just like taking in the views of scenic hills, Issaquah homes do not disappoint. The city is located between Seattle and the Cascade Mountains, with Interstate 5 accessible right through town. Issaquah is really at the base of what is called the Issaquah Alps, a range of mountains much lower than the main Cascades. These lower mountains are usually available for hiking and biking year round. Issaquah is also famous for paragliding, you can find dozens of them doing it just south of downtown. Outside Magazine named this city one of the best towns to live for outdoor adventure. You can walk from downtown to the trails in just minutes.
Much of Issaquah is growing in the Issaquah Highlands, a stunning location on the side of a mountain. Hundreds of homes are being built and sold every year. Currently, Issaquah is just over 30,000 residents but this should grow as they are building and possibly annexing large tracts of homes. At just 16 miles from Seattle and less from Bellevue, this town is perfect for a good number of our clients. You can usually expect saturday farmer markets, live theatre performances and many art galleries. Issaquah holds the Annual Salmon Days Festival and additionally there is a salmon hatchery in town. Issaquah has a long history, being incorporated in 1892. In town you can find a museum and many artifacts placed on display in the public parks. Large companies such as Costco, Microsoft, Boeing, Siemens and Home Depot have all located to the area.
