The city of Kirkland has many reasons to attract your attention when looking for a home to purchase. Most notably, the downtown is right on the Lake Washington waterfront. Although the city stretches many miles to the east with over 80,000 residents, it is the wonderful downtown on the water that attracts many homebuyers to the Kirkland area. Kirkland is very easy to walk around and the paths along Lake Washington Blvd NE are very popular when the weather is good. It was Kirkland’s foresight to develop several waterfront parks so that today 25 percent of the cities waterfront is public land.
