There is no other place on the Washington coast like Seabrook. This is a planned community with the goal to meet residents needs within a five minute walk. To offer amenities from recreation to shopping, all consolidated in a atmosphere that is urban like yet sitting in a natural setting that feels anything but urban. The Seabrook beach town is just a few minutes walk from the ocean waves crashing below the development. Unlike other Washington beach communities, Seabrook sits high above the beach, protected from the threats of storms or even tsunamis. The beach is more rugged like too, unlike the more bland beaches to the south in Ocean Shores. The community common areas have even been designed to use eco-friendly materials such as boardwalks, gravel, reclaimed crushed oyster shell, and shredded cedar mulch. In addition to promenades and walking trails galore, you'll find a central amphitheater, a hilltop park, a town plaza, a playground, a pavilion, a town hall, a heated indoor pool, fire pits, horseshoe pits, community garden, dog park and spacious Crescent Park, all of which encourage gatherings big and small. There is a public basketball court with plans to build tennis courts in the near future. Bikes can be brought or rented from the bike/repair shop. The Town Hall can host events and weddings. Instead of mainstream stores, residents enjoy shopping at locally-owned boutique businesses and dining at quaint restaurants. There are plans for additional restaurants, a wine bar and coffee shop, and more, with home owners having an influence on what amenities they would like to see at Seabrook. Cars are welcome, but stowed thoughtfully in carefully conceived lanes and in carriage houses behind homes. Bikes and flip flops are the preferred means of transportation in Seabrook. As of September, 2013, there are about 250 privately owned homes built at Seabrook, half of which are in the Seabrook Cottage Rentals program. Seabrook is planned to have about 300 single-family homes and over 450 units, but there is also room for additional homes on adjacent undeveloped property. Seabrook has all the standard utilities, including sewer, water, electric, phone, DSL, cable, and propane. Each home is unique in size, location, and features, with approximately one home per week being built taking approximately 4-6 months to complete.
Crescent Indoor Swimming Pool is one of the only places along the Washington and Oregon coastlines that offers a heated indoor pool to its guests and homeowners.
